I Have Been Blessed

All about how God has blessed me. In my marriage, with my six children, through homeschooling, and our faith with recipes, large family living, and updates on our life.

Changes

Adreya and Wyatt, or as they are nicknamed right now, Double and Trouble, are sincerely living up to their moniker! It is time for some changes and some new training!

Wyatt and Adreya are best friends! They love each other. They parrot each other! They talk to each other, play with each other, hold hands in the car, hug often, and are truly, just best friends. At night, Adreya always takes a couple toys with her to bed and will toss one to Wyatt when he gets bored. She sings him songs (while they should be sleeping), and he tells her stories that only she can understand. It’s been sweet. But now, it’s starting to drive me crazy! See, Wyatt, in his pure adoration for his sister, is now getting out of bed so he can be closer to her!

Last night we found him sleeping on the floor next to her crib, with a blanket and pillow she had given him. At nap time today, they both climbed out of their cribs to play! Time for changes. Because awake children who are supposed to be sleeping children turn into Crabby Children! Very Crabby Children!

We’ve been talking about furniture rearranging, and it looks like tomorrow will be the day. Adreya and Maddy are moving into a “girls” room. My big boys into a “boys” room, and Wyatt into the “baby” room, and into a toddler bed. That way, if he gets out of bed, he can at least get back in again! And hopefully sleep.

Wish us luck, send prayers our way, as we will be training two children, in two separate rooms how to stay in bed all night! We are also potty training Addy, and teaching Wyatt to drink out of a regular cup (since he can get lids off sippy cups and makes big, sticky messes!) The joy of toddlers!

And yes, even with all this, I know, without a shadow of doubt, that I am indeed BLESSED!
